Twenty nine players, including five from the Gananoque and Kingston areas, took part in the 5 age groups, at the RA Centre, November 23 – 25. Matt Arkett, of the host club, beat the latest recruit to the 40+ ranks, David Guest of Goodlife – Queensview by a score of 11-6, 11-9, 11-4. Matt achieved this with superior speed and some well disguised drops and angles.
In the other events, Rob Mulrooney (RA) took the 50+, Barry Nesrallah (OAC) the 55+, Pierre Rainville (Kingston) the 60+, and Glen Caird (Gananoque) the 65+. The only female entrant, Debbie Witham, pushed her male opponents in the 55+ division, including Rolf Clackdoyle, who only won 15-6, 14-16, 15-9, 19-17 and beating Jay Parsons 3-1.
