The ODSA put together a very strong team for the 2018 Ontario Regional Masters Team Tournament. The tournament took place at the Whiteoaks Resort in Nigara-on-the-lake on February 23-25, 2018. 10 teams from all over Ontario battled it out in a weekend full of competitive squash matches, sharing and fun.
The ODSA team with, David Guest (OAC), Matt Arkett (RA), Martin Aass (OAC), Barry Nesrallsah (OAC), Rex Jung (RA), Stephanie Bazin (RA), Lisa Macelwee (GOOD), Lorraine Tetreault (GOOD), and Cathie Wood (RA), started the weekend with a round robin loss against Toronto on Friday. On Saturday morning, they regrouped and came victorious against GTA West ensuring their qualification into the 1-4 playoffs.
On Saturday afternoon, in the first rount of playoffs, the ODSA faced Niagara-A coming just short with a 4-5 loss and qualifying for the 3/4 matchup.
In the bronze medal matches on Sunday, ODSA faced-off against Western-A, in a very exciting and close competition – multiple matches went to 5 games!. Unfortunately, it didn’t go the ODSA way, losing 4-5 and finishing 4th.

Two other ODSA players, Luz Osorio (OAC/CARL) and Penny Glover (RA), played for the Central Ontario team which reached the consolation semifinals.
