From March 29 to 31, Squash Ontario hosted the 2019 Robert Harder Risk Consulting Ontario Junior Open at The Club at White Oaks, Niagara-on-the-Lake. It was a marathon tournament, with over 180 participants, and a near 50/50 split between the male and female draws, marking the tournament the most successful Ontario Junior Open in recent years.
From the ODSA region, three players attended: Mathieu Shillington (Squash Gloucester), Iman Shaheen (Squash Outaouais), Max Shewchenko (Squash Outaouais). Mathieu finished in the 2nd round of the BU17 Consolation draw, and Max finished in the 3rd round of the same draw. Iman, aged 14, competed in GU17 draw, finishing second with an exciting 5 game match against Amal Izhar of the Ontario Racquet Club.
