On February 8-9, the Ottawa Athletic Club hosted 40 young players from across Ontario, for the Mortgage Company of Canada Silver #6 tournament, presented by Harrow.
In the BU 17 event, Romain Salmon of Gatineau was the winner over Sebastian Singodia, not losing a game in his four matches. Out-of-towners Daniel Kim and Logan Nirenberski battled for the BU 15 crown, with Daniel winning 11-9, 12-10, 11-7,and local Frederik Bemour-Thorson capturing 3rd spot.
The GU11/13 event went to American visitor Rahimtula Anderson, while Navin Kerr of Toronto won the BU 11/13 title, each losing less than 50 points altogether in their 4 matches. Local brother and sister, Kate and Nick Johnston-Zemek came 2nd respectively in these two events.
