Over the July 26-28 weekend, 76 entrants joined us for the RA Summer Open tournament. We were pleased to welcome over 25 players from out of town including players from Toronto, Mississauga, St. Catherines, London and even as far away as Vancouver.
Tournament Champions
- In the Mixed A Finals, Philippe Shillington (McGill) went 3-0 over Felix Scholberg (RA).
- Saurav Kurien (RA) captures the Mixed B draw over Vedant Vani (Mississauga) 3-2, going to extra points in game 5.
- In the Mixed C, Corey Wright (Toronto) won 3-1 against Andrew Maio (Newmarket).
- Suvi Chhabra (Ottawa) got the better of Daniel Amar (Ottawa) 3-0 in the D Final.
- Anita Nador (Toronto) won the Women’s A/B, going undefeated in pool play taking on Debbie Witham (RA) 3-1 in the deciding match.
- Paula Piilonen (WSQ) went undefeated in pool-play, winning the Women’s C/D pool. Katia McKercher (RA) finished second.
