Between November 10 and 13, 2016, Goodlife Queensview Fitness hosted 16 men in a PSA 10K event and 80 players in events for amateur men and women. The Pro event witnessed the emergence of Michael McCue as a rising young Canadian star. He beat the No. 2 seed from Finland to reach the final, where he took a game off Christopher Gordon of the USA, before losing 3 -1, in a very cerebral final.
In the amateur “A” final, Steve Oakey emerged as Dominic Wren’s opponent, after a well conceived victory over Rudy Rodriguez in the semi-final, but he couldn’t overcome Dominic’s relentless pressure. On the women’s side Gabby Renaud confirmed her seeding with a convincing win over Chloe Wren.
Congratulations to all the winners and participants!
