Schedules for session 3 of ODSA Open City League are available. Please visit Rankenstein for more details. For those who are printing schedules, you’ll notice that the printing layout has been significantly improved!
Notes for this session:
- RA7 has joined the league in Division 7. This means there are 4 teams in Division 7 for this session. In lieu of having 2 BYE weeks, teams are scheduled for each week in the interest of playing squash. However, only the first 3 weeks will count towards the division standings and will determine promotion to Division 6. The final 2 weeks can still be entered for rankings purposes (through the city league submission page) but the points will not count towards the final standings.
- Early matches should start at 6:30 sharp! There have been reports that 6:30 matches are running well past 8:00, bumping back the late matches. An hour and a half should be PLENTY of time to complete 2 matches except in very exceptional cases.
- In the case that a player/team has informed their opponent BEFORE the evening matches (and have received confirmation from the opposing captain) that they will not be able to field a full team and need to make up a match, the “Default” rule does not apply. In the event that this match does not get made up for whatever reason (e.g. scheduling conflicts for both players, illness, etc), the team who was ready to play that Wed evening should enter a win for their team (using the player that was available) against “Spare”. There is a player named “Spare” in the drop-down list that is used for this purpose. DO NOT CREATE A NEW PLAYER called “Spare”, “Guest”, “Walk-over” or anything of that nature.
